Nothing is more discouraging than having a bad workout. All the treadmills are taken. Your favorite yoga class is full. And all the weights are being used. Or maybe you had a bad day at work and can’t get your head in the game.
I’ve worked with a lot of clients who start their health and fitness journeys with the best of intentions, but let life stresses get in their way. I’ve been there too. After a bad day at work, I just want to go home and binge-watch Netflix. We’re all human.
One way I stay motivated is sticking inspiring workout quotes where I can see them every day – the bathroom mirror, my computer background, and the dashboard of my car. When I don’t want to lace up my running shoes and hit the pavement, I just look at my favorite quotes.
So pick your favorite quote and write it on a Post-it. Stick that Post-it where you see it every day. When you’re not feeling motivated to head the gym or you’re reaching into the freezer for that pint of Ben & Jerry’s, remember that quote. Let it become your mantra.
