Do You Live in One of the Fittest Cities in America?

fittest cities

Let’s admit it, the United States doesn’t always get the best rep when it comes overindulging in food and under indulging in the gym. With larger than life portions and a bigger emphasis on technology than team sports, it often seems like the next generation is only going to follow in line with poor health habits.

However, the Physical Activity Council’s Annual sheds hope on the obesity problem in America revealing the promising new trend that participation in fitness and recreational activities is on the rise.

The Annual shows overall, the inactivity level in America has dropped in 2015, leading to a rise in movement and exercise. Compared to last year’s study, the number of active Americans went from 209.3 million people to 212.6 million people.

This increase in activity could show that the pushes for health and fitness education could be providing a significant impact on the younger generations.

So where exactly do the most active America’s rest their heads at night? And if we want to get and stay active, where should we go to get the most motivation?
