The Khloe Kardashian weight loss makeover was even dramatic enough to earn her own reality show, Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, which followed how 12 weeks of work with Kardashian’s fitness team, the Khloe Kardashian workout and Khloe’s own pep talks helped people lose weight, gain muscle and reinvent themselves.
To learn more about how overhauling one’s diet and fitness routine can have effective results like Khloe’s, we spoke with Sloane Davis, Certified Nutritionist and Personal Trainer of Pancakes And Push Ups.
Regarding the Khloe Kardashian diet “Weight loss is hard work, takes time, patience and most of all, consistency,” says Davis. Accept the fact that there are no magic pills, detoxes or teas that are going to speed up the weight loss process. Instead, focus your energy and time on putting in the effort to work out hard and eat a clean, balanced, nourishing diet. “I would love to get the message out to as many people as I can, that there is no magic when it comes to weight loss. The most important thing is to find a plan that you can live on long term and sustain for a healthy lifestyle. That, in turn, will bring you results!” If you want to get results, you have to be willing to put in the work — just ask Khloe! You can bet she goes in every day and puts in the time, sweat and hard work. Obviously, it’s working for her.
Was Khloé Kardashian’s Weight Loss Due to Diet or Working Out?
It appears that much of Khloe Kardashian’s weight loss was partially due to the fact that she began working out. In an Instagram post she wrote, “If you were to ask me five years ago if I ever saw myself being completely in love with fitness and health, that I would be an inspiration to many others, that I would be the push that others needed to find their way, I would’ve laughed in your face,” Khloe wrote. “Me? The chubby one? No way! But now I can’t see myself ever stopping!”
Khloé began going to the gym to escape the dark landscape her divorce had left her in. She explained to Harper’s Bazaar, “At the time, my family didn’t know what I was going through. It was the biggest secret I’ve kept. I just needed a place to go,” she recalls. “[The gym] had a TV and I could watch The Real Housewives on an elliptical. No one talked to me. I loved that solitude.”
Khloé now works with trainer to the stars, Gunnar Peterson, and credits intense cardio, circuit training, and working out three to five times a week for svelte new figure. She’s not one to prance around the gym. In her interview with Harper’s Bazaar Khole elaborates, “I’m a beast at the gym,” Khloé stresses. “I’m super competitive and I’m a sweater. I’m like, ‘Don’t f*ck with me and don’t mess up my routine.'”
In her Instagram post, Khloé went on to encourage her followers, “If you’ve lost your motivation don’t beat yourself up about it, negative thoughts only turn into negative realities. By keeping positive about your body, your inner health, your mental sanity, your fitness and what you’re trying to achieve, you’re way more likely to succeed. My fitness journey was for myself and myself alone. On my terms and on my timeline!”

Do Both Cardio & Weightlifting
The Khloe Kardashian workout is heavy in cardio exercises such as running on the treadmill, utilizing the elliptical or rowing machine. Cardio is great–and necessary–for torching calories, but high-intensity interval training is another very effective alternative that takes up a relatively small amount of time. High-intensity interval training, or HIIT as it has come to be known, is simply going all out in a specific activity for as hard as you can for a designated amount of time followed by a brief recovery period. Adding a regular routine of weightlifting is also essential. “Muscle tissue uses more energy than fat tissue, meaning that someone with more muscle will be able to eat more food than someone with less muscle,” explains Davis. “The latter will have a slower metabolism and thus need to eat less food in order to lose the same amount of weight.” Building and maintaining muscle by utilizing strength training burns more calories, leans out the body and create a tight, toned, sculpted look. It’s also important to keep in mind that after every weightlifting session your body has to kick into overdrive to repair damaged muscle fibers and build new lean muscle. This extra work causes your body to burn additional calories even after you’ve left the gym. Lifting on a regular basis — like every other day — will keep your metabolism revving and create a calorie deficit which, overtime, can lead to some pretty serious fat loss just like Khloe Kardashian weight loss.
Having A Workout Buddy Works

According to Davis, having a workout buddy like Khloe’s sisters, Kim or Kourtney, is very effective in motivating and creating accountability. “For many people, working out with a buddy helps motivate the other to actually do the workout,” says the fitness pro. It’s always easy to skip a workout here or there and before you know it, two weeks have gone by without you breaking a sweat. If you have someone there right beside you to hold you accountable and suffer right along with you, it’s much more difficult to blow off your gym time.
Make the Most of Your Mornings
The Khloe Kardashian diet must include breakfast. “Start your day with a healthy breakfast and a workout like the 30 day squat challenge,” says Davis. Beginning your day on a healthy note may significantly increase the effectiveness of your Khloe Kardashian weight loss plan and give you results. Morning workouts kick your metabolism in high gear, so that your body burns more calories after its workout, even when sitting or being idle. Get up, get moving, pump up your metabolism and then eat a healthy breakfast packed with protein and a dose of healthy fats. Not only will you feel awake and have more energy post workout, you will be more focused and ready to take on the rest of the day. Plus, this way, there’s no risk of a last-minute task derailing your workout plan for the day. Exercise creates endorphins, so set the tone for happy and productive day with a health-packed morning. Eat A Balanced, Nourishing Diet

Fiber helps keep the body full and keep things moving along.
