Need some motivation and inspiration? Well, look no further than this video of 78-year-old Shirley Webb deadlifting 225 pounds. Not once, not twice, but three times.
The video, originally posted by her trainer, John Wright on his Instagram @Jwright0123, was reposted by Fox Sports and has since gone viral.
Webb, in an interview with ESPNW, said she was motivated to start lifting after she found herself unable to get up off of the floor without the aid of a chair and unable to climb the stairs without the aid of a railing.
Her passion for the weight room has not only made her healthier, but also channeled her inner competitive side. The 78-year-old has set deadlifting records in both Illinois and Missouri for her age group.
Webb shows that you can truly accomplish anything that you put your mind too. Not to mention, that she is seriously one badass woman. Shirley, is truly #fitspirtation for us all no matter our age, or our fitness ability.
